Trump Meets With Putin For Tough Negotiations About 2020 Re-election Support
The much anticipated meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladmir Putin seems to be going well. Before the meeting of the two leaders, Trump said he expected the negotiations to be easier than the conversations he has with U.S. allies. America's leader is known for his desire to make deals and be appreciated. Russia's leader is known for his desire to take over the world. During this meeting the two will hammer out details of Russia's role in Trump's 2020 re-election campaign.
Leading up to the meeting, Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, "It is not unusual for world leaders to talk about their situations and even raise a little support for upcoming elections. I'm sure George Washington had similar meetings with the king of England. There is nothing weird going on here... just some strategizing between mortal enemies."
After a break in the meeting, Trump was upbeat about how the first round of negotiations went. "It started slowly. Frankly, Putin is not happy with the Mueller probe. But I assured him that we would wrap that up nicely one way or another. 'America isn't Moscow... we have to handle such things in a more delicate way,' I told him. He opened up. Putin is a tough guy. A lot of people don't know that about him. But a teddy bear inside. A real teddy bear. You've heard of the Russian Bear. Let me tell you, Putin is the Russian Teddy Bear. I kept negotiating, and we secured plenty of funds and cyber support to secure me a win in 2020. Believe me, Russia is committed to making America great again. Can I tell you? Before I came to lunch, Putin put on a MAGA hat and "Trump 2020" pin. It's going to be good. Really good."
