Sheltered Homeschooler Struggles Through Life And Settles For Marrying Miss Universe
Homeschooling is a difficult path. It requires a great deal of sacrifice from the parents, and even the children. But the most difficult thing is the stigma attached to the children. Homeschoolers are often called awkward, socially deprived, backward, and even “Spelling Bee Champions.” It is certainly a difficult life all the way around. And what happens after they ‘graduate'?’ Well, let this sad tale be a lesson to anyone who thinks they should train up and educate their child at home.
Tim Tebow’s life began when he was born after a difficult pregnancy to Christian missionaries in the Philippines. He was the youngest of five homeschooled children, and suffered from a learning disability.. By the time he was high school age he had to find a football team with whom he could play even as he continued to be educated at home. His team helped him win Florida High School Player of the Year twice, and also a state championship..
His hard luck continued in college. While attending the University of Florida he only won the Heisman trophy once. Sure, he was the first sophomore to win the highest award in college football, but he didn’t win it as a freshman. Poor homeschooler. He also only won two national championships in four years. In fact, aside from setting dozens of records and winning dozens of awards, he barely had an impact on college sports. Imagine the things he could have accomplished had he gone to a real school?
Fast forward to the NFL draft where he was chosen in the first round… but was picked 25th. His NFL career was relatively short, but he did set a few records. During this time he also signed endorsement deals with Nike, Jockey, and TiVo.
Since his NFL days, Tebow has struggled to hold down a solid job. He has done some broadcasting, and also played professional baseball. He is currently part of the New York Mets organization.
For the longest time it seemed as though Tim would never find a wife. The poor guy hasn’t even had sex yet. But that has been remedied. This week he proposed marriage to Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, and she accepted. Probably felt sorry for him. Sure, she is a Miss Universe winner… but from all the way back in 2017.
So before you homeschool your kids, remember… they may just become a sports icon and marry a beauty queen someday. And all because you decided education was more important than social skills. You’ve been warned.
