SJW Shane Claiborne Appalled That Jeff Sessions Uses Bible To Promote Political Agenda
Social Justice Warrior and liberal activist Shane Claiborne lit up Attorney General Jeff Sessions on social media after Sessions referenced Romans 13 to say that people should obey the laws of the land because government is ordained by God to preserve order.
"I just couldn't take it anymore," says Claiborne, who writes regularly on social issues for progressive quasi-Christian organizations. "I mean, you have your opinion, or your cause, or whatever. That's fine. But the unmitigated gall of someone to use Scripture to advance a political agenda that is harmful is beyond ridiculous. I mean, he basically quoted straight out of the Bible to make a Biblical point. But still. I don't agree with his position. So obviously he is wrong."
Claiborne is an expert in these areas. He has written articles on many occasions condemning conservative positions and in each case he has been able to manipulate the Bible to substantiate his own Democrat position. "I'm a professional religious activist," continues Shane. "i've been using the Bible to support my beliefs for years. I've shown from Scripture how we should have open borders, allow abortion, destroy the justice system, and increase taxes for Republicans. It is all in the Bible if you hold it upside down and inside out. I can easily show how homosexuality isn't as bad as the Bible says... and I can do it right out of the Bible. I don't want to brag, but... yeah... I'm all that and a bag of organic rice cakes picked by non-slaves in the jungles of Vietnam. Jeff Sessions? What does he know about twisting Scripture?"
Claiborne, upon cooling down admits that his problem isn't really with Sessions twisting the Bible, but the reason he does it. "I don't like it that the Attorney General uses Romans 13 to keep illegal immigrants from entering the country. But obviously I would be okay if he used the same passage to defend the government stealing money from people who I believe are too rich. The Bible is a sword, and as I've said many times, we are to turn swords into plowshares... and that's in the Bible."
