Progressive Pastor Preaches Entire Sanctity Of Life Sermon Without Mentioning Abortion
Yesterday was Sanctity of Life Sunday. Across the nation many pastors did their best to preach about the sacredness of life and evil of abortion without offending anyone in the congregation. That is not an easy task in today’s America. But one preacher figured out a way to check off the “Sanctity Of Life sermon box” and not offend anyone in his church.
Pastor Shaun Baker of Austin Community Fellowship preached his entire life sermon without mentioning the word ‘abortion.’ Baker explains the extraordinary feat, “There is a lot of pressure in Christian circles to talk about the evils of abortion on this specific Sunday. Afterall, the pro-life groups point to over 60 million fetuses legally aborted over the last 46 years. But our church is socially aware. Our people won’t be moved by horrific statistics. They understand that there are legitimate reasons to kill one’s child. There is perceived poverty, there is college and a career, there is personal freedom. So I decided to stay away from abortion and focus on the sacredness of life.”
After the service, ‘woke’ church member Stephanie Bartlett gushed, “I brought a friend today. I was sort of worried with it being ‘anti-choice week’ in a lot of churches that Pastor Shaun may mention abortion… which would have made it really weird for me and my friend. But he avoided the word like a pro. He is like a ninja!”
