President Trump Orders Submarine To Attack Naval Destroyer USS John McCain
It is no secret that President Trump dislikes the late Senator, and Vietnam War POW survivor John McCain. Over the years, Trump has taken many opportunities to insult and generally disrespect McCain. At one point, Trump even said that he didn’t consider McCain a war hero because McCain was caught by the enemy.
Since McCain’s death in 2018, Trump has not let up. His White House team is keenly aware of the way Trump is triggered by even the name of John McCain. Recently, during a state visit to Japan, someone in the administration advised the Navy to relocate the naval destroyer USS John McCain because there was concern Trump would see it while walking around… and obviously you do’t want to rile the Commander in Chief.
Apparently moving the ship behind some other ships was not enough. Early this morning, Trump used his power as leader of the free world to order an attack on the USS John McCain. At 4:36 am, after tweeting something about a witch hunt, and the Dems, and CNN, he picked up the red phone next to his chair and called the Pentagon. He recounts the action in a tweet…
“John McCain has been a thorn in my side for years. Wonderful man. But just a horrible person. This morning while looking out across the bay, I saw a boat sneaking up on our military ships. I love our military. Nobody loves the military more than me. I asked someone what it was. They told me it was the destroyer, John McCain. I’m not the only one who knows McCain was a bad guy. Even my really smart advisors know he is a destroyer. I couldn’t let McCain’s boat attack my boats. So, I called up the driver of one of my submarines. I told him to take out the loser USS John McCain. It was tremendous. It was like playing the game Battleship. Believe me.”
No U.S. President has ever attacked their own naval ship. In an interview on FOX and Friends this morning, Trump made it a point of pride, “Yeah. I did it. It should have been done years ago, but no other President had the courage to do it.”
