Prayer Centers Report Higher Volume Of Requests For "Good People," Nearly None For "Bad People"

The National Prayer Center Association (NPCA) released its quarterly report, and it looks like prayer requests are following certain patterns. However, if you read the Bible, the data found in the report may be confusing.

Shana Walters, of the Metro Prayer Center in Louisville, KY says, “The number one prayer people are requesting right now is for the mid-term elections. Obviously Republican Christians are praying for one result while Democrat Christians are praying for another. Many are asking for prayer for Judge Kavanaugh. We’ve had only a very few requests for Dr. Christine Ford… but those are primarily asking that God would strike her dead, or something like that. It seems most callers are familiar with the idea of praying for those they consider persecuted. But no one seems to know the command of Jesus to pray for those who do the persecuting.”

The NPCA report gives us a peek into the heart of the American Church. Here are some of the findings…

Requests for God’s protection and blessing of the President have quadrupled since 2015.

Requests regarding those under persecution has increased by 2300%. (However, that seems to only apply to those persecuted within the District of Columbia. For instance, in the last month, there have been 126,873 requests to deliver Judge Kavanaugh from the persecution he is suffering, and only 3 requests for the persecuted Christians in Egypt.)

There is an uptick in prayer requests for ‘my future spouse to be Godly’ but a significant downturn in requests ‘for God to mold me into spouse material.’

Strangest request in the last three months… “That God would curse the pumpkin spice movement… which is obviously financed by George Soros.”
