Man Who Would Never Fight Tyrannical Government Angry That Democrats Ignore 2nd Amendment
Bubba Johnson considers himself a right-wing, conservative, Hillary-hating, constitution-loving, Bible-toting, Trump-supporting, Democrat-trolling, old school, gun-owning American. He drives an old beat up pickup truck that cranks out Charlie Daniels. He hangs Old Glory out on his front porch every day. He ain’t much on technology, but he does subscribe to every “patriot” email list that he can find. When people drive by his house, they keep on driving, and he likes it that way.
“I ain’t trying to be mean, I just tend to keep to myself,” barks Bubba. “I’m friendly enough. If you voted against Obama, and against Hillary, we can probably be friends. But I mostly take care of my own business. I’ve been here for a long time. My ancestors fought the British in the Revolutionary War. They weren’t going to put up with anybody telling’ ‘em how they could live.”
That’s why Johnson is so upset that Beto O’Rourke and the rest of the Democrats want to overthrow the second amendment and take away his guns. “That Betty O’Rourke guy really chaps my hide. An Irishman should know better than to take a man’s guns. It’s like takin’ his whiskey. I’d like to see him come take my guns. I have 3 AR-15s, two AK-47s, and about a half a dozen handguns.”
When asked if he would ever use those guns to push back against an oppressive government, Bubba looks down, “Well… no. I wouldn’t. I know we have lost our country. The Libs have taken it over. They’ve trampled the constitution. There ain’t no getting ‘Merica back. Let’s be honest, I ain’t going to use my guns to fight the government. None of us NRA people are going that far. That’s crazy talk. But I love my second amendment, and I can’t stand it when the Libs ignore it.. When they try to take that away, they are just rubbing’ salt in the wound. If they take my guns, what will I use to shoot empty bottles off of my fence? What will I hang in the back window of my truck? No sir! You can take away my freedoms, my self-respect, my heritage, and my way of life, but don’t touch my guns!”
