Left Sets Aside "Judge Not" Rule To Destroy Roseanne Barr
The Liberal community is not known for their love of the Bible. Their policies often dismiss or run over the instruction of the Holy Scripture. In fact, through their entertainment outlets they often ridicule Christians for holding to the tenets found in the word of God.
That being said, they have found a couple of passages that they like to use when it suits them. The most popular phrase is "Judge not." This is a quote from Jesus who said the words while preaching the "sermon on the mount." When Christians call out sin according to what they read in the Bible, it has become a common comeback by those on the Left to say, "Judge not." In this way they use the teachings of Jesus against His followers.
This week however, the Left was able to set aside those words to rip and punish one of their own, famous comedienne Roseanne Barr. After she posted a racially charged tweet, she was summarily scorched on social media, and her television show was quickly cancelled. The Left had found its 'judgment bone'.
Legendary comic, Whoopi Goldberg took to her TV show, "The View" to dress down Barr for the insensitive tweet. When asked about the double standard of holding Christians to the quote of Jesus, but violating it herself Goldberg said, "Well, I'm no Biblical scholar, though I did do some movies about a nun. But obviously Jesus wasn't suggesting we not judge racist people. It may seem like a double standard, but it is not, because we choose to judge what offends us, and not judge what we like to do. Just because we say some things that others do are wrong does not mean that others get to say the things we do are wrong. When Jesus told us to not judge, He didn't mean we couldn't ostracize them and take away their livelihood if they were insensitive. Basically, we are not to judge unless the sin is against us."
No word from Goldberg on a pathway for redemption for Barr.
