Lauren Daigle Supports Abomination So She Can Be On The Right Side Of Sales History
Popular singer-songwriter and Christian worship music performer Lauren Daigle has made a career move that some find strange, but those in the entertainment business find brilliant. Daigle has refused to call sin sin in order to broaden her audience and boost music sales.
In a recent interview Daigle was asked if homosexuality is a sin. She responded, “I honestly can’t say one way or the other. I’m not God.” This answer won’t win her many friends in the Christian community. But in a culture that is obsessed with casting off the idea of sin and holiness, her answer is sure to turn into more CD sales.
Daigle says that if people want to know if homosexality is sin or not, they should “read the Bible and see what God says. And when you find out, let me know, ‘cause I’m learning too. ” She says she “can’t be expected to know what the Bible says about homosexuality being a sin. I’m too busy writing my next award winning worship song. Those Billboard charts won’t wait for me to figure out my theology. I want to be on the right side of history… sales chart history, that is.”
And while she won’t take a stand on the sinfulness of a man having sex with another man, she is quite convinced and vocal that you should buy her latest album. Some may find fault with that, but to be fair, as we learned in the 2016 election… Her position on sin doesn’t matter. When you purchase her music, “you aren’t supporting a pastor, but a musician.”
