Kirk Cameron Challenges Justin Bieber To Bible Drill After Bieber Challenges Tom Cruise To Cage Fight
Just days after Justin Bieber inexplicably took to Twitter to challenge Tom Cruise to a “fight in the octagon,” Christian action hero actor Kirk Cameron has challenged Bieber. Using Bieber’s exact wording, but with the grammatical correctness of a homeschooler, Cameron tweeted, "I want to challenge Justin Bieber to a Bible drill in the church foyer. Biebs, if you don’t take this challenge, you’re scared and you will never live it down. Who is willing to put on the fight?”
[For those who do not know, ‘fighting in the octagon’ is a term for cage fighting like you may find in a UFC match. A ‘Bible drill’ is a competition to see who can find Bible verses the fastest.]
We do not know what has sparked the current stream of violence between A-list entertainers, but these challenges seem to be for real. In his challenge to Cruise, Bieber called out Dana White, the current president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship to host and promote the fight between the former teen heartthrob singer known for his hit ‘Baby,’ and the former over-the-top actor, known for his movie ‘The Last Samurai.’
No word yet from White, on whether or not the UFC will put on the fight between the Biebs and Cruise. But Cameron’s Bible drill challenge already has backers. Christian-based fast food giant, Chick-fil-A ha already agreed to organize and financially support the event. And conservative John MacArthur has agreed to serve as moderator and judge. The Kendrick brothers of the Christian-based Sherwood Pictures fame are already talking with Cameron about making a docu-film of the event.
Cameron ( a former heartthrob and actor himself) is spending time with his Bible coach, Ray Comfort to get in page-turning shape for the event if Bieber accepts the challenge. Cameron has sort of stirred the pot this morning by posting the following tweet, “Hey Biebs… if you want to bring Tom Cruise with you, I’m down with taking on both of you. BTW, I love you… and so does Jesus.”
