Jim Acosta Receives Credentials From White House, Still Looking For Credibility
CNN reporter/editorialist/celebrity activist, Jim Acosta recently got into a tense back and forth with President Donald Trump at a press conference. Acosta, who believes the President is wrong on everything is not satisfied to ask a question, take down the answer, and then report on the dialogue. Instead he badgers the President in this case, or Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on the regular.
The most recent confrontation saw Acosta battling with a White House assistant who tried to take the microphone from him after multiple questions and Trump’s request to move on to another reporter. Soon after, Acosta showed up to the White House per normal but was asked to surrender his credentials to the guard at the door. Acosta and CNN sued the White House for overstepping their bounds.
The judge ruled that the White House must return Acosta’s credentials, which they did. The problem is, there was no ruling on Acosta’s credibility. He spoke with Unverified Source about the situation.
“The credentials I have. They came in a packet. Now I just need some credibility. The judge didn’t tell me where to pick that up. The White House said they had no idea where my credibility is. They are only responsible for credentials. CNN says they hired me because I wasn’t weighed down with credibility. My viewers were supportive and said that my lack of credibility doesn’t matter, and they will keep watching me anyway. Sean Hannity graciously offered to let me have half of his credibility. But in my math, half of nothing is nothing. Oh well. I’m sure I will have plenty of time to find some credibility before the next time the President calls on me to answer a question.”
That’s why we love Jim… always humbly looking at the bright side.
UPDATE - @RealDonaldTrump has started a GoFundMe to raise money to buy Acosta some credibility.
