Lebron James And Tom Brady Admit Joey Chestnut Is World's Greatest Of All Time
Every year the question is the same, "Who is the greatest athlete of all time (GOAT)?" The answer is different depending on who you ask and what season it is. Some say Roger Federer's domination of the tennis world makes him the GOAT. Others say Tom Brady, QB for the New England Patriots. Some say Michael Jordan of basketball fame. Lebron James says himself.
But all of that changed today when all of the above GOAT candidates agreed that there is only one person who has gone beyond human levels to establish himself as the absolute greatest athlete of all time. It is Joey Chestnut. If you don't know who that is... do not call yourself an American, or an expert on physical talent.
On July 4, 2018, Joey "Jaws" Chestnut devoured a record-breaking 74 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes at Coney Island in Brooklyn, New York, to win the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest for the 11th time in the past 12 years and the third year in a row.
As news spread, respect was shown. Tom Brady tweeted, "I like to eat. But this guy can eat circles around me when it comes to concession food. It isn't even a competition. He is the greatest." Lebron James added to the praise, "You know I am known for my high appreciation for myself. I just signed a huge contract with the Lakers. But let's be frank... get it... frank?!? The reality is, I have only won 3 championships in 15 years. And that was becuase I imported some all-star teammates. Joey does it on his own.... which I have tried to do myself for years. I'm actually trying to get Magic Johnson to sign him in L.A."
No one knows how Chestnut is at basketball, but anyone who can eat 74 hot dogs in 10 minutes is bound to be good for concession numbers.
