Democrats Put Governor Northam On Table, Keep Him Comfortable While Deciding His Fate
Virginia Governor Ralph Northam had a pretty rough couple of days this week. Within 48 hours he gave a public defense of the recent bill that would allow for post-birth abortions and was then blindsided with a photo discovered in his college yearbook where he was apparently in black face alongside someone dressed as a member of the KKK.
The next 24 hours has been a back and forth between the Northam and the Liberal community to decide what should be done. Should he abort his political career for the health of the of the Democratic party, or continue on even though his leadership is now certainly disabled and will require much assistance and difficulty?
At this point everyone involved has agreed to put Governor Northam on the table and keep him comfortable until they decide whether or not he is worth the effort… which ironically exactly what the Governor said should be done with a baby born to a mother who hasn’t decided if she wants to continue being a mother.
Hillary Clinton weighed in on Twitter, “It was unfortunate that Northam was attacked for suggesting that infanticide may be an appropriate activity. But to see him in black face… obviously that is the ultimate sin. I think a Party should be able to decide whether or not to keep a leader. Is the GOP going to adopt the Governor? I don’t think so. Do we want to go back to the dark days of people choosing for themselves who their leaders will be?”
