Democrats Move To Abolish Supreme Court Now That It Leans Right
With every shift of government power in America, the diminished party tries to gum up the works by slowing the process, or changing the rules to hobble their opponents. The word 'impeachment' hangs on every tongue. But the latest approach may be the most extreme yet.
After Republican President Donald Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the second vacant seat on the Supreme Court Bench, leading Democrats have called for Congress to abolish the Supreme Court. That's correct. The Democratic Party has called for a special session of Congress in order to kick out one of the three legs of our government.
Democrat leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi stood together at a press conference before the Supreme Court building and declared, "It is time to move beyond partisan politics and close the loopholes that allow certain political ideologies to run over others. The Supreme Court is one of those loopholes. When our party is not in power, the various branches of government are used to undo what we have tried to do. That is obviously not acceptable to us."
Democrat Representative Maxine Waters, who was in Chicago stirring up anarchy released a statement agreeing with Schumer and Pelosi, "This was the last straw. What kind of a loser movement uses the courts to push their party agenda? I'm a Democrat from California. I can tell you for a fact that we only use the courts to overrule the will of the people. But we would never misuse them."
The press release said that the next step would be to "downsize the executive branch." When asked if they would consider abolishing the Senate and House of Representatives, the leaders laughed and said, "Abolish our jobs? Yeah... like that is going to happen. How could we protect our constituents from the founding principles of this nation if we weren't in charge?"
