CNN Apologizes For Omitting Normal American From 'Equality' Town Hall
It was touted as a prime time ‘equality’ event. CNN hosted several Democratic Presidential candidates to talk about gender, sexuality, and marriage issues. But somehow the producers did not have equal representation for the opposing views on these subjects. No one was there from Focus on the Family, or even from Fox News. They kept using that word… Equality. We think it does not mean what they think it means.
CNN personality and moderator of the event, Chris Cuomo took to the airwaves today to apologize to the 97.3% of the nation that was not represented last night. Here is a transcript of his monologue.
“I want to start out by thanking all of our guests who joined us on the Equality town hall program last night. I think you represented and expressed the extreme minority position on homosexuality, gender diversity, and gay marriage very well. Thank you to our on-site audience that helped make it seem like those extreme minority views are the majority views.
To those who tuned in and felt like you were watching the bullying of normalcy in America, I want you to know that you were. Some of you may wonder why there was no one to represent the normal side of the issues we raised. You noticed that we had people with freaky ideas, but no one with traditional views. Part of me wants to say, ‘#@%$ You!’ because I’ve been known to do that. Check out the video. But the fact is, we did call it an ‘Equality’ event. So in hindsight, perhaps we should have had a normal American come on to give us some comedic relief. I tried to poke a little fun at the idea of using the wrong gender pronouns, and you see how that went over.
In all fairness, we did discuss bringing on some Christians who could tell us what the Bible says, but when we tried to book some lions to finish them off, we got some pushback from some of the Democratic candidates. Apparently some of them do not like to eat meat, or watch lions eat meat. We will figure that out for next time.
In the end, this is supposed to be an apology. So let me say, ‘We are sorry.’ Yep, we are incredibly sorry. But you conservatives already knew that. Have a good night.”
