Clothed Man Demands Equal Pay After Learning Female Models Earn Millions Wearing Clothes
Joe Werner is up in arms. He only recently learned of a pay gap between the genders and it has him boiling. Joe has been wearing clothes his whole life. But this week he found out that some women get paid millions of dollars to wear clothes, and he gets paid nothing.
“It is an injustice,” says Joe. “It is not right, and I am not happy. I‘ve been reading about equal pay for equal work for years. And for the longest time I fought it. I’ve even argued about it on social media. It used to tick me off when some woman would whine about not getting paid what men get paid. You saw the women’s soccer team do it.”
But something clicked with Werner on Monday. “I was scrolling through my news feed and saw an article about fashion models. It hit me. These women get paid to wear clothes. I get nothing. And I usually wear more clothes than they do. Where is my equal pay?”
Joe’s wife explained to him that fashion models also get paid for their beauty. “He laughed and asked what I was trying to say about his looks. I also told him that models walk on a runway. The last I saw him, he was trying to break through a fence at the airport so he could wear his clothes on the runway. I love him, but he’s not that bright, bless his heart. Come to think of it, maybe he is model material,” Mrs. Werner said with a chuckle.
