"Break Every Chain" Tops Favorite Worship Songs Among Christian Coffee Addicts
In a bit of irony, the worship song “Break Every Chain” is the number one worship song among Christians who admit that they can’t function without their coffee. Relevant Magazine sponsored a survey conducted at coffee shops as well as through social media to find out what coffee drinkers, a huge demographic in the church, are listening to.
“Break Every Chain” tops the list of modern worship songs. Jen Latimer, a regular at Sacred Grounds in the hippie district of Charlotte is not surprised at the strange choice. “A lot of us know we have a problem. Don’t get me wrong. It’s like… a problem we enjoy. But most ‘coffs’ realize we are not nice people until we’ve had our coffee. We’re not proud of it, but we are glad that God has given us such a tasty crutch. So it makes sense that we like a song that expresses what we would love to experience if we had more will power. It is our flow.”
The survey, which was by necessity conducted after 10 AM revealed some other interesting preferences…
