700 Club Commits Prayer Hotline Phone Bank To GOP For Mid-Term Elections
Trump supporter Pat Robertson is committing the 700 Club Prayer Hotline phone bank to help secure Republican wins during the mid-term elections.
Robertson recently talked about the decision on his television show. "Turning our phone resources over to the GOP was the least we could do. Trump and the Republicans have done so much to make this country Godly again. I mean... my God... people are saying 'Merry Christmas' in July now. This is unheard of. There's no telling how many hurricanes we have avoided because we elected God's right hand man, Donald J. Trump to the White House. We need to keep the momentum going. So we are turning off the prayer lines, and opening up the political lines," he chuckled.
This decision has had some pushback. "I had a good friend ask me if it was good to give up prayer lines in favor of a political cause," continued Robertson. "I responded by saying, 'Perhaps if we get the right people in office we won't need to pray so much.' I think we turn to God way too much when the President is more than willing to fight our battles for us. And I believe the Lord is telling me that if we don't win this election, there may not be anymore prayer. So it appears the time for prayer is over. The time for action is here."
When callers call in, they are now given information about who the Republican candidate is in their area. They are also asked to make a donation to the Donald J. Trump re-election campaign, or as Pat jokingly calls it, "The Second Coming Fund."
After the 700 Club announced the resource commitment, Charisma Magazine and Liberty University followed suit. For the mid-terms, Charisma will not be running inspiring stories of God's supernatural power and revival around the world. Instead, they will be filling the periodical with bios of the Republican candidates who have pledged undying allegiance to Trump. They will also include shareable memes that denigrate Democrats, giving special priority to those that mock Hillary Clinton... though she is not actually running for office.
Liberty University has committed its political science department and research divisions to the GOP election efforts. They are also freeing up their media wing to produce whatever commercials Republican candidates need. To top it off, the religion department is committing its professors to help educate voters on the Biblical arguments for voting against your conscience in order to defeat the Democrat devils, and more Biblical support for proving that Donald Trump is the 21st century installment of Cyrus.
