Steven Furtick Preaches Entire Sermon From His Instagram Feed

Steven Furtick, pastor of Elevation Church started his message today by asking the congregation to turn in their phones to the website of Instagram, and find his feed. He then proceeded to preach his entire sermon from memes and various posts. He even used a few video clips of himself preaching in order to drive home some key points.

"We love Pastor Steven (P.S.), says Gina Watson a longtime follower of Furtick. "We love him on Sunday mornings, and we love him on social media. So when the two things happen together, something special is bound to happen. The anointing was all over him this morning. His words are usually so powerful anyway. I haven't been that excited since I found out that P.S. and I go to the same Starbucks. Watching him in his tight jeans and undersized shirt this morning was like an epiphany. I was able to get the positive vibes without even opening up the Bible. Those memes are just what I need for my breakthrough. I knew it was going to be good when he said, 'Touch your neighbor... ask them if their app has an update pending... come on now... somebody needs an update in here today.' He paused, looked around expectantly, and we just erupted in praise like we always do when he gives us that look."

"It was 'Pastor Appreciation Sunday'... so I gave a gift of appreciation to myself," chuckled Furtick while shaking hands with fans after the service.
